The Paradise that is Coron

So after settling in, we had our lunch first at the hotel, and rested for some time. We head to town around 3pm...our first stop mt. tapyas.

We asked the hotel to get us a tricycle that will bring us to Mt. Tapyas. And after several minutes, the tricycle arrived.

Mt. Tapyas is a hill situated in the middle of Coron. You can go there by tricycle or if you are more of the exercising type of person, through foot. The town is relatively small, you will not get lost. And besides, the locals are very friendly, you can always ask for directions.

From the foot of the Mt. Tapyas, it will take you around 20-30 minutes to climb and reach the top. We took our time, we dont want to rush it. Along the way, there will be several stops and seats into which you can use to rest. As you go higher, you will be able to see the beautiful town of Coron below and the islands that are surrounding the town. Really a magnificent view.

the view from the top of mt tapyas...you can see the limestone formations from afar. =)

Nakakapagod! Pero its worth it naman...maganda ung view sa taas and mahangin, kaya bawi lahat ng pagod. Just a reminder, bumili ng mineral water sa baba pa lang at nakakapagod at nakakauhaw ang pag akyat. There are no available stores sa taas, so better get one bago umakyat.

When we went down, it was almost time for dinner. But before we went for dinner, we passed by the town market. It was near the port, where all island hopping takes place, but all activities that day already ceased because it was about dinner time. After resting and walked around, we decided to have dinner.

A view from the dock...those lines are actually a zip line

beautiful colors of sunset...ganda diba :)

We decided to eat in Kawayangan Grill. We were so excited and famished that day, and we decided to eat to our hearts content. Kaya lang nag brownout...hahahahaha....yes the whole town went black (well except for the lights of tricycles). But that did not stop us..at gutom na gutom na kami. We ordered tuna carbonara, sea food platter and onion rings. The serving is quite big and is enough for two persons. The taste of the food was great. The carbonara is creamy and it is highly recommended. The seafood platter taste great also (composed of crabs, shells, shrimp and I think that was tuna).

We went back to the hotel with with our stomachs full and satisfied. Actually nag uwi pa nga kami kasi may natira pa. Upon going back, we decided to swim...the water of the infinity pool was just irresistible. After a long day. It was time for us to rest.

our resort during night...ganda diba :D there is a jacuzzi at the far left. we also had that for ourselves
